How to Create Part Copy in FreeCAD

In this article we will learn how to create Copy of Part in FreeCAD. Open the the part which copy you want to create, if part is modeled in Part Design workbench then switch to part workbench Select the part go to part and create a copy.

Here you will get three option Create a copy, Create Transformed copy, Create Shape element copy, and Refine shape. You can choose any option. once you create the copy new copy will be create over our parent part just use transform tool and drag it.

Just keep in  mind that new copy created will be a non parametric body it will have no relation with the parent body. any changes made to parent body will not be reflected to new copied body. This does not mean that this is a useless feature after my study I found that this feature is very useful to store multiple version of part in single file once you finalized the design of your part.
